Workshop

Experience rhythm, movement, and community

Our quarterly workshop brings pungmul — a traditional Korean art that blends drumming, dance, and song — to Somerville Music Spaces. Each session features short performances by Boston Pungmul Community (BoPoong), followed by hands-on activities where everyone can try the drums and rhythms themselves.
You can watch, participate, or simply enjoy the rhythm — everyone is welcome.
No prior experience is required, and all instruments are provided. Come learn, play, and feel the joy of collective rhythm!

What to Expect

1.
Performance: Enjoy a lively performances by BoPoong members in colorful traditional costumes.
2.
